The preliminary rounds of the Indiana State Fair Young Hoosier State Piano Competition conclude this weekend in West Lafayette at Purdue University, Pao Hall. Scores of talented participants have wowed the judges since the preliminaries began earlier this month. The final round for all divisions will be held during the Indiana State Fair in August.

The Competition is open to Indiana residents ages five to 22 and encourages all levels of piano performance. With seven separate age divisions--and all styles of piano music--competitors can select from fourteen music categories, including Original Composition. New for 2016 is Indiana Bicentennial and Music from Video Games.
