THE CARMEL ARTS COUNCIL YOUNG PERFORMERS SHOWCASE (PIANO/INSTRUMENTAL DIVISION)
The Young Performers Showcase began in 1998 as an opportunity for children to perform before an audience and to encourage their participation in the instrumental arts. This competitive and non-competitive showcase welcomes all styles of music, with children performing on all types of instruments. All performers receive a participation ribbon. Performers in the competitive divisions receive first, second and third, and honorable mention awards. These awards are based on skill, presentation and general entertainment value of the performance. This event has typically taken place in February each year, however in 2017 the competition will be held Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5.
